The new headquarters of Banque de l’Habitat are located in Down Town Beirut, on Al Masaref street. The Banque has chosen for its headquarters a classified building, designed in the sixties by late architect Assem Salam. The building has a history as it used to be the Intra Bank headquarters, and later on became Mashreq Bank headquarters. Banque de l’Habitat bought the building in 2009 and the renovation work was awarded to ADS. Revamping the building has to abide by Solidere strict urban regulations. In addition to refurbishing the building and its facade, as well as restructuring it, ADS is also in charge of the interior design of the premises. In order for ADS to complete this task, the studio enquired about all the bank’s procedures for the design to take these into consideration, and thus not only ease the employees’ everyday work, but also provide customers with an ergonomic experience.
